Dearest Anna,
I am ashamed for being so long in writting, seems we don’t have a day without something doing among all our friends. They all are so happy to have us here for a while they are making the most of the time. Will have to come home to rest. Guess we will not be back till around Dec 15th. Sorry we won’t be there to spend Thanksgiving with you girls.
Have seen the boys and their family’s several times. One time we were there Tom told Stevie not to do something twice & said if you do it again I will spank & you know it. Stevie had on his p.j.’s he started to push his pj pants down & backed up to Tom and said “come on get at it” I wanted to laugh but new it best not to. He is more like Tom was when small everyday. At last I am sending the pictures to you they are all so very good,
It seems we has better weather here then you have down there. Have been nice & sunshine, only 2 or 3 rains far to dry for this time of season. We read in the paper about the 90 mile wind & the terrible fire in the Sanquine Valley. Must have been terrible both wind and fire. Did the wind blow there too. Sure glad the pecan trees are tipted so at least they won’t cause trouble.
When we go to David’s now Davie & that little doll Jan climb on our laps with their favorite storybooks. They are cute children. Danny and Darlene have a sweet little baby boy. He looks like Danny & has curly hair & blue eyes.
Little Michael wasn’t at all jealous of the baby. One evening I call Michael ‘sugar’ he turned, looked at me & from then on he called me sugar all evening. When we left he said by,Sugar- see your morrow?
As yet we haven’t received our money from Maberry. He was in a car accident & near go killed so Mr. Harper told us our attorney. Maberry is supposed to get a seeleemnetn for the accident Dec 1st & promised Harper he will pay in full. So that too is one reason we want to stay till after the first. When the checks come send them on up dear.
We are still staying with Elizabeth out at Clackamas – she said will be very lonesome for her after we leave. Several of our friends have been out at different ties. Will write to Edith in day or so. Do hope she is feeling better by now. How is their house progressing. My eyes are quite a lot dimmer.
Both our love to all
